We provide patient transportation and a free prescription delivery service to members of the local community.

Our team of volunteer drivers assist patients from our community get to their medical appointments. Please get in touch with Val Harvey our Transport Coordinator to arrange a drive.  There is a fixed rate fare charge for each journey to cover fuel costs – you will be informed of the rate on booking. 

 All our drivers are DBS checked and adhere to our code of conduct.

If you require transport to and from your hospital/doctor/dental appointments please contact Friends of Fairford & Lechlade Communities directly through the following methods:

You can no longer request a driver through either Hilary Cottage or Lechlade Medical Centre receptionists. 

To avoid disappointment, please give us as much notice as possible.

 

A charge for the round trip is made for the service to cover running costs of the vehicle. No charge is made for the driver.

Free Prescription Delivery service

If you have trouble collecting your monthly prescriptions, our Patient Transport Team may be able to assist. Please note this service can only be provided for people receiving free prescriptions. Please book via our Transport Coordinator Val Harvey giving as much notice as possible:
